Most everything is cooked from scratch, including the breads, chicken stocks, dressings and sauces. All meals are received fresh, not frozen or freeze-dried.

On creating a menu, all meals are low fat, low cholesterol, sodium controlled and nutritionally complete. Each meal is designed to conform to or exceed the nutritional guidelines established by the American Heart Association, the American cancer association and the American Dietetic Association. All of the recipes are nutritionally analyzed and approved by a registered dietitian.

How the Plan Works

The meal plan is flexible, using a 5 week rotating menu with plenty of choices and variety. The firm delivers fresh food twice weekly. You can mix and match meals and receive calorie controlled portions.

The menu has 1,100 and 1,700 calories levels and rotates every 5 weeks. Calorie adjustments are made through portion size. All dinners are shipped in black, microwave safe containers. Most lunches come in clear containers and are meant to be eaten cold unless otherwise noted. 

The vegetarian menu is lacto-ovo. No meat or meat by-products are used. Vegetarian and Gold Star dinners range from 358 to 456 calories per meal.

The cost of the plan is $140/week for 7 breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, or $560 per month.
